POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a Clinical Internship Supervisor in our Outpatient Services program! The Clinical Internship Supervisor (PC) is responsible for supervising clinical interns, as well as providing culturally sensitive recovery oriented, trauma-sensitive, direct clinical services including individual therapy. This position is responsible for writing and maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and for case management of their own consumers and consumers of the interns under their supervision. The PC participates in the planning of internship activities, helps interview and select interns, coordinates site requirements, and provides input regarding financial implications. A Clinical Internship Supervisor position in Outpatient Services requires up to 15 hours of face-to-face individual or group hours scheduled every workweek, contingent on the number of interns being supervised, with a proportional number of documented case management hours.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The PC reports directly to the Clinical Internship Team Manager, with overall program supervision by the Director. This position is included in the Professional Bargaining Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL
Education/Licensure
Master’s degree in a related human services field
Licensure as an LCSW, LMFT or LPC, or eligibility to become licensed in the State of Wisconsin within 3 months of hire
Certification (or eligibility) for MA Provider status and HSS 61.96 (2) (3) certification to bill insurance companies for mental health and/or SUD services
Experience
Minimum 4years of experience providing psychotherapy services
Minimum 1 year of experience providing direct supervision or 1 semester of teaching experience at a College or University level
Extensive experience in behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, case management and crisis resolution with consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
A strong systems theory perspective and a good working knowledge of, and ability to relate to a wide variety of service and academic agencies
A strong commitment to the provision of culturally sensitive, customer oriented service delivery
Knowledge of trauma-informed mental health and substance abuse service provision, and familiarity and experience with at least one evidence-based MH intervention/treatment
Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing)
Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team with a positive and creative attitude
Typical Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching; and the ability to use and operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, phone, printer, cell phone, facsimile, etc. Working Conditions
May require evening or weekend hours depending on program and consumer’s needs.
PREFERRED
Licensure as a SUD, SAC, or CSAC

RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Provision of Clinical Services
Performs accurate assessments with consumers to evaluate mental health, alcohol and drug abuse, developmental disabilities, and other life issues, and appropriateness for treatment. Completes assessments in a culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive manner within the context of the consumer’s perspectives and beliefs.
Provides a range of clinical services including individual, family, and group counseling in a context that is supportive of the consumer’s family, culture, values, and perspectives.
Completes accurate clinical records including intakes, assessments, treatment plans and updates, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other information in a timely manner.
Provides case management and other therapeutic services as necessary.
Provides consultation and support related to areas of specialization.
Provides back up services for consumers open to Outpatient Services as needed.
B. Program Coordination
Supervises interns
Maintains instructor-level competence with JMHC/OS practices, structures and requirements
Coordinates internship practices, structures, and requirements with site and academic advisors at various educational institutions
Assists in the interview and selection process of potential clinical interns
Participates in programmatic planning for interns
Provides regular, weekly clinical supervision
Provides evaluations of interns
Provides Case Management for intern caseloads, as needed
C. JMHC Participation
Attends staff meetings, in-service trainings and other program activities
Participates in JMHC committees, trainings, and activities as desired and/or directed
Provides consultation to other JMHC programs as necessary
Performs other duties as necessary or directed
