POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a Suboxone Program Coordinator in our Outpatient Services program!  The Suboxone Program Coordinator (PRC) is responsible for a wide array of culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive, direct clinical services including assessment, counseling, supportive contacts, and referrals for consumers. The Suboxone program coordinator will primarily serve consumers in recovery from opiate addictions, with or without co-occurring mental health diagnoses.
The PRC will be responsible for being the primary contact for the Suboxone program and will demonstrate leadership skills by taking point on the tasks such as: receiving and screening referrals to the program, onboarding new consumers, ensuring that Suboxone program services are recovery-oriented, working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader to ensure the program’s fiscal health and sustainability, overseeing the logistics of administrative functions of the Suboxone program, and problem-solving clinical concerns with the team in a collaborative manner, as well as communicating with outside agencies regarding the Suboxone program.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Suboxone Program Coordinator reports to the Clinical Team Leader with overall program supervision provided by Clinical Team Manager. Minimum Service hours are 960. This position is included in the professional bargaining unit. 

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
Education/Licensure
  • Master’s degree in a related behavioral health field
  • Licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW AND SAC, CSAC or SUD specialty
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience working in a Medication Assisted Therapy program
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Background and knowledge of behavioral health, human services or healthcare
  • Demonstrated knowledge/skills relating to cultural sensitivity and consumer recovery
  • Effective verbal & written communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a wide range of computer operations and software, including Microsoft Office suite and Electronic Health Record software.

PREFERRED
  • Fluency in Spanish or one of the Southeast Asian dialects in addition to English

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Suboxone Program Coordination
  1. Receive and screen new referrals to the Suboxone program and determine appropriateness for Suboxone and treatment.
  2. Coordinate with Suboxone staff to ensure coverage for all Suboxone related activities including groups, UDS times, induction, and meetings, ensuring that consumer needs are met during holiday and vacation times.
  3. Lead monthly Suboxone committee meeting, including setting an agenda and facilitating the meeting.
  4. Continually update policy and procedures to reflect best practice and Journey capabilities as related to Suboxone program.
  5. Act as contact for community partners that have interest in Suboxone treatment. Attend outside meetings as needed.
  6. Oversee the logistics of administrative functions of the Suboxone program, such as ordering supplies, updating forms, etc.
  7. Ensure that services rendered in the Suboxone program are recovery oriented.
  8. Work collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader to ensure the program’s fiscal health and sustainability.
  9. Take an active leadership role on the Suboxone team to problem-solving clinical concerns in a collaborative manner, in consultation with the Clinical Team Leader.

B.  Provision of Clinical Services
  1. Performs accurate assessments to evaluate and diagnose mental health and/or co-occurring issues in a culturally sensitive, recovery oriented manner by providing assessments within the context of the consumers perspectives and beliefs.
  2. Provides a range of services including level of care assessment, service coordination, therapy/counseling, support, and referrals in a context that is supportive of a consumer’s culture, values, and perspectives.
  3. Completes accurate clinical records including intakes, assessments, treatment plans and updates, progress notes, discharge summaries and other information in a timely manner.
  4. Works collaboratively with other community agencies to develop and maintain a continuum of care and maintain efficient use of community services.
  5. Provides consultation and support related to areas of specialization.
  6. Attends Team Meetings and presents consumer cultural and clinical information.
  7. Maintains minimum direct and case management service hour expectations.
  8. Works collaboratively with team members and takes a leadership role in service planning.

C. Program and JMHC Participation
  1. Attends staff meetings, in services, and other program activities as requested.
  2. Participates in JMHC committees, trainings, and activities as directed and/or approved.
  3. Provides consultation to other JMHC programs as necessary.
