Our Sales Manager will be responsible for building, training, and growing a high-performing team comprised of sales professionals working with mid-market clients. Your current team says that you motivate them to be better and that you've taken the time to know them and aid in their success. They would also say that you are able to remove obstacles, lead without micromanaging, and have coached them on new techniques.
You understand why metrics are important to success and your team understands how the numbers lead them to be more successful. Your team understands the correlation between metrics and success because of your guidance and they strive to hit their goals. You're focused on success through KPIs and have a proven sales strategy that you can immediately implement. You've worked in a small to mid-sized company before and you can handle the responsibility that comes from being free from bureaucracy.
Coaching. Hands-on leadership is your thing. You listen, review, give tips, mentor, and build solid relationships with your team. You know what motivates them, what discourages them, and how to get the best out of them because you're focused on helping them perform at the highest level.
Performance management. Great leaders are able to pull the right reports, interpret them, and act on them to help their team. You can see patterns, identify bottlenecks and trends and forecast your sales with accuracy.
Cultural leadership. Motivating your team isn't only about numbers and reports. It's about having fun, being silly sometimes and making sure people continue to love what they do, where they do it and who they do it with. You stand with and by your team, giving them reasons to make this a place they call home.
