In support of achieving functional and district goals and in keeping with Sanimax's vision and values, responsible for outside sales in an established territory procuring used cooking oil and organic waste material from businesses as well as selling grease trap cleaning and line jetting services. Primary duties include visiting existing customers, cold calling on potential customers, maintaining market and competitor knowledge to defend the territory and ensuring excellent customer service. Achieve challenging sales goals, demonstrating persistence in sales territory
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Maintain and grow customer base within region:
- Identify and cold call on restaurants and other business that produce used cooking oil and/or organic waste to procure volume and sell trap cleaning and line jetting services as well
- Negotiate pricing
- Work with transportation department to assure proper set-up of new customers
- Conduct annual customer reviews
- Work closely with Procurement Manager to maintain and grow large chain customers
- Support specific strategies for defend and extend within the region
- Collect regional market data and work with manager as changes are detected
- Stay abreast of competition, implementing specific strategies when competitors or theft arises
- Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly customers, volume, etc.
- Assure excellent customer service: that there is follow-up on concerns and requests raised by customers and ensure that problems are solved quickly, in collaboration with the transportation department
- Manage customer expectations and address changes in needs or complaints as they arise
- Solicit customer feedback to improve service
- Comfortable working with existing computer systems to track customer business
