We have a new exciting opportunity available for a dynamic Transportation Practice Team Leader in our Madison, WI office.

Transportation Practice Team Leader responsibilities may include:

  • Leadership and responsibility of projects, pursuits, and staff within the Transportation discipline of our Madison office.
  • Project/Team oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, team financial management, and project staffing/work-sharing with other offices.
  • The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team.
  • Success in business development planning, to include developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development.
  • Client management, including abilities to negotiate contracts and develop client engagement activities.
  • Professional society involvement.

We are considering Transportation Practice Team Leader candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
  • Knowledge of WisDOT design and standards.
  • PE license in WI required.
  • Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
  • Project Management experience with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software is an advantage.
