Reporting directly to the Tool Room Supervisor, the Tool Maker/Machinist is responsible for executing, planning and coordinating tool and die repair and maintenance activities. The Tool Maker/Machinist will assist in the training of new team members, existing team members, and team members seeking advancement of specific skills. The individual will participate in improving work methods, standard work, problem solving, and continuous improvement efforts. This role has a starting wage of $26.50 per hour

What Will You Do?

  • Perform maintenance and construction of tooling and dies safely and proficiently.
  • Prioritize, plan and coordinate Tool Making activities.
  • Perform/assist with hands-on training with other team members on standard tooling practices.
  • Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training

Hours: Monday-Thursday 4AM-2PM, with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Required Skills

What We Are Looking For

  • Apprentice or Journeyman Tool & Die Maker or Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of Technical School Training in tool and die/machining or 5-7 years working in Tool & Die or Machining field.
  • Proven experience operating CNC turning and milling equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of common die practices and machining consistent with a Machining/Cutting environment.
  • Ability to generate handwritten and electronic correspondence
