Interstate Assembly System's is looking for experienced Service Mechanics for our Surprise Arizona location.

The Service Mechanic will perform repairs on IMT service trucks, and Custom Lube Trucks. These repairs will require basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and the candidate must be able to retain information and direction provided by our Shop Foreman and our Technical Support Team.

Mechanic Job Duties

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of truck bodies and associated components. ( We work on Fuel/Lube/Mechanic bodies and everything on the body side- no chassis repairs*)
• Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Kubota, Honda and Kohler engines ( Air Compressor, Welder/Generator/Pump Engines)
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all heavy duty components
• Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department and customers
• Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion
• Meet requirements for certifications
• Administrative duties as related to position

Desired Skills and Qualities

• Technical degree or certification a plus
• Experience working with diesel / gasoline engines and heavy duty trucks
• Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
• The desire to take advantage of opportunities to have the most updated product training
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in a fast pace environment.
• Experience with Lean Methodologies preferred.
• 2 Years of Material Handling experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experienced with all material handling equipment such as fork lifts & Reach lifts.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs routinely.
• Occasionally lift over 50lbs.
