Job Description
The School District of Beloit is seeking a District Electrician. This position is under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities. Responsibilities include maintaining, installing, and repairing of electrical in all District facilities. Thorough understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems is required. Candidate must have flexibility of work hours based on District needs. This is a year round, full time/permanent position and is eligible for benefits. Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Salary offers are based on education/experience. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. HS diploma or GED certificate.
2. Journeyman certification for electrical
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints
4. Proficient computer skills
5. Possess a valid driver's license
6. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs in a repetitive motion and work on step ladder at a height of 10 feet.
7. Ability to work from all types of aerial lifts and scaffolding

Working conditions:
This position will have various tasks assigned such as preventative maintenance on equipment or vehicles,.
The work week is Monday through Friday with periodic overtime and weekends.
This position has responsibilities that may have prolonged time frames of working in the seasonal elements.

Physical requirements:
Must be able to walk, climb stairs and move about the buildings as needed.
This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects as needed (50 pounds) and do repetitive tasks.
