Foth Production Solutions, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Project Mechanical Engineer experienced in custom machine design who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients' success. This position will be working out of one of our Green Bay, WI location.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to high level machine design and first-of-a-kind concepts for all clients
  • Identify customer needs/requirements for custom designed machinery
  • Provide input into proposals for engineering and manufacturing efforts for custom designed and built equipment
  • Participate in internal concept development process with Production Solution resources and others as required
  • Work through fabrication and assembly issues and update documentation to reflect modifications
  • Successfully complete project deliverables within scope, schedule, budget
  • Collaborate with design teams and technical leaders as required throughout project lifecycle
  • Support junior engineers and designers in technical growth via mentorship and feedback
  • Champion internal quality and safety processes
  • Travel as needed for data gathering, design reviews, installs, start-ups and troubleshooting to fabrication shops, as well as client locations (25 - 35% travel annually)
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a combination of a two or four-year technology degree supplemented with equivalent technical training or experience
  • 5 - 10 years' experience with custom designed machinery
  • Strong client interface experience
  • Proven examples of custom machinery development, to include, concepting, modeling, proof of principle, proto-typing, manufacturing, testing and commissioning
  • Proficient in 3D design software
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Consultant experience
  • Proficient in Inventor and SolidWorks design software packages
  • Experience in food, beverage, bulk package handling, specialty product packaging or other industry experience similar to Production Solutions' current client base
  • Experience in hands-on modeling techniques used to prove concepts, ie: woodworking, 3d printing, basic machine tools
