This manufacturing tech position will be based in Madison, WI location reporting to the Operation Supervisor. The ideal individual will be responsible for mechanical, optical and electrical component assembling tasks for Optical Microscopes for life science imaging applications.

    Build sub-assemblies and integrate assemblies according to work instructions and assembly drawings
  • Execute written SOPs and instructions
  • Small/intricate assembly tasks
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Experience of using of basic mechanical tools and electrical testing tools required
  • Good mechanical and electronic aptitude required, along with exposure to a variety of hand/mechanical tools
  • Basic familiarity with a personal computer
  • Familiarity with reading CAD assembly drawings to build assemblies
  • Candidates must have an eye for detail, to be capable of following precise instructions
  • Must be flexible and adaptable, as many jobs require learning by doing; successful candidates will be expected to learn new processes as needed
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally
  • Experience working with optical components (mirror and lens systems) is a plus but not required
  • Small part assembly experience preferred
