Examples of practicable assignments that our current Engineers work on
:
 
  • Robot path programming (Fanuc and ABB).
  • Develop new part programs using simulation software and product teaching.
  • Evaluating and improving design, materials, and process applications for manual and robotic processes, to support manufacturing.
  • Provide process troubleshooting support to manufacturing SOP, material variances, bottlenecks, and implementing effective countermeasures.
  • Hands-on out on the floor working with operators on updates, improvements, quality, safety, productivity.
  • Proposing the most cost-efficient methods for process improvements to manager(s).
  • Support trial events, conduct testing etc.
  • Train production personnel in new or existing methods.
  • Work closely with management to identify and recommend methods for improving efficiency and reducing waste and assist with the purchase of new equipment.
  • Develop and implement tools and processes to improve system performance, including quality, uptime, and cost
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Design tests of finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
  • Determine root causes, to provide process and troubleshooting support to manufacturing and implement permanent corrective actions
  • Assist in ensuring environmental compliance in process systems
  • Continually improve knowledge of process application equipment and practices to improve quality and reduce costs
  • Promote quality, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping, and safety practice
  • Communicate on a regular basis to all impacted parties on process and automation system activities.
 
Ideal candidates would have prior familiarity with the following:
 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (internship/co-op experience is valid)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in process robot programming and process applications, ideally experience with 6 axis line tracking FANUC robots is preferred.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully to solve problems.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Support organization's goals, vision, and values.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement a plus.
