About the role - you will:

We are looking for a Data Center Operations Manager to join our LYVE team. You will be responsible for developing, planning, directing, implementing, and supporting all data center projects globally. You will work with a diverse and talented team of engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers.

  • Develop and execute data center strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and customer needs

  • Manage and oversee data center operations, including capacity planning, availability, performance, security, compliance, and disaster recovery

  • Lead and mentor data center staff and contractors, ensuring they have the skills, tools, and resources to perform their tasks effectively

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery of data center projects

  • Monitor and report on data center metrics, KPIs, SLAs, and best practices

  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in data center operations

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Preferredexperience in a startup company and/or startup environment

  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations management or similar role

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex data center projects on time, on budget, and on scope

  • Developed data center and rack elevation drawings

  • Strong knowledge of data center technologies, standards, and regulations

  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred

Your experience includes:

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of data center infrastructure, HVAC systems, electrical systems and familiarity with data center managementtools
  • Leadership skills: Strong leadership and team mgmt abilities
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for trouble shooting issues in a data center environment.
  • Security and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of data center's security practices and compliance standards ie ISO 27001
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors and uppermanagement
  • Emergency Response Preparedness: Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Budget Management: Ability to create and manage budgets effectively
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Center Management Professional (CDCMP) or Certified Data Expert (CDCE) can be advantageous

The estimated base salary range for this position: $124,000 - $180,840. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills.
