Job Description
This position works with a number of other Para Educators in the classroom and the ID teacher. Applicants must be willing to work with students who have Special needs and requirements.
The School District of Beloit has an opening for a Special Education Para Educator at Merrill Elementary School. This position is for 7 hours a day plus a half-hour unpaid lunch. This is a full time/permanent position based on 184 days (prorated for 2023-2024) per year. Benefits are offered with this position. Candidates should have experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, demonstrate flexibility, patience, and be able to work as part of a team. Required qualifications: High School diploma or GED, an Associate's degree, or forty eight (48) credits, or proof of successful completion of a WI DPI approved assessment (ACT WorkKeys, ParaPro-Assessment ETS, or Para Educator Master Teacher). Candidate must hold or be willing to obtain the Wisconsin Para-educator license. Start date is: As soon as possible. Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
