Refrigeration/Utility Specialist at a glance...
This position is responsible for ensuring the plant refrigeration and HVAC equipment run safely and efficiently. The Refrigeration/Utility Specialist will support the entire facility by, repairing, troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on the equipment.
What's on the menu?
Operates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs plant refrigeration, HVAC and dehumidification systems, including electronic and pneumatic control systems.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on all processing systems and packaging refrigeration & HVAC equipment.
Routinely inspects refrigeration and HVAC equipment and makes any adjustments to maintain proper operating temperature and humidity within the plant.
Perform regular reviews of system performance, identifying problems and concerns and recommending and/or implementing technological changes to improve overall performance.
Work with the maintenance and engineering teams in developing and implement new insights ideas that will help drive improved productivity.
Ensure that all spare parts stocking levels are adequate to fully support all supported equipment.

Has a thorough knowledge of industrial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance principles and practices and the technical skills vital to repairing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation issues.
Has performed work as an 'A' refrigeration mechanic or has proven comparable experience and abilities.
Has (or is able to acquire) EPA certification Type I & II.
Proficient in basic math, plus reading charts and technical drawings.
Has basic digital literacy/computer skills.
Strong interpersonal effectiveness across multiple teams and job levels with excellent customer service skills.
