The Production Department has one (1) opening for a Training Coordinator. This position will be posted internally and externally.

Job Overview:

The Training Process Lead is responsible for performing and/or coordinating all activities needed to document, maintain, and communicate departmental procedures, work instructions, and forms related to training. This position will work across all shifts and departments supporting training programs.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for plant training programs (i.e. SOPs, OPL, benchmarks, etc.) including creating a system to ensure compliance with the Training Qualification process outlined in KHMS and developing a tracking system to ensure all new hires department transfers are trained in accordance with the established requirements set forth in the training qualification document.
  • Help facilitate successful completion of all required training, maintain and report on key training measures (KPI).
  • Help track the progress in the transition from new hire orientation to placement of a new employee on his/her job assignment. Notify Supervisors of evaluations that are due (i.e. 30, 60, 90 Probationary Period evaluations, Progress Reports, Stay Interviews.)
  • Ensures that the knowledge required to perform the position has been effectively transferred from the trainer to the trainee and ensures that documentation of the completed training is maintained as required.
  • Ensure all training documents have current procedures and work instructions: Monitor changes in job training documentation, make the required changes, and notify the appropriate managers of those employees requiring training resulting from the changes.
  • Define, execute, and follow-up on corrective action needed to fill any gaps between actual processes and documentation and requirements. Make sure these updates are incorporated into training documents and communicated as they occur. Update as necessary including the addition of OPLs.
  • Ensure that quality, safety, environmental, and any other compliance standards/requirements of each job in the department are incorporated into the appropriate training.
  • Facilitate through Supervision the recertification of current employees annually during the first quarter and upon return from extended leave of absence.
  • Assess training needs with department managers and supervisors to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Create a working system and annual planning calendar that prioritizes SOP updating by functional area with dates and identifies deadlines to review/update by key Subject Matter Experts (SMES) along with the Training Team for the facility.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Safety to create an annual calendar that corresponds with Ownerversity.
  • Create and manage database tracking through Ownerversity and master filing system for all employees at the facility.
  • Assist in certification development and tracking, as well as monitoring of all job-specific training needs.
  • Tracks all training activities in a database and related tracking system.
  • Coordination of team-based training and delivery of that training.
  • Monitor training progress by conducting training reviews with the trainees and the trainers.
  • Maintain a general understanding of each department and its processes.
  • Manage and coordinate training requirements in accordance with the Kraft Heinz Management Systems (KHMS)

Preferred Background:

Minimum High School diploma or GED. Advanced degree or prior experience creating and developing training programs preferred. Must have excellent communication, planning, organizational, and work management skills. Must be detail-oriented and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Will be required to work with and communicate directly with several layers of management. Must be able to work all shifts and flex between departments as needed. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Must adhere to all site rules and adhere to all ways of working processes and procedures within this role. The position requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, timely Period of Work completion, and the ability to perform all sanitation duties. Team participation is required. All other duties as assigned.
