Overview

Primary responsibility is to provide banking and portfolio administrative support to Private Banking Relationship Managers within a specific geographic area. The Private Banking Specialist must be able to work with highly confidential information while delivering an exceptional level of professionalism that will enhance the Johnson Financial Group experience and positively impact new business development, client referral and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding of and ability to articulate full scope of JFG products and services.
  • Responsible for accurately opening, closing and performing maintenance on accounts within bank operating systems including the administration of the NAICS coding assignments.
  • Proactively assist and train clients on effective use of full breadth of JFG products including on-line and mobile banking solutions.
  • Assists with loan requests including: compiling information for loan packages, requesting document preparation, prepare and review documents for accuracy prior to closing and submitting closed loans for processing.
  • Process various client requests including but not limited to; wire transactions, funds transfers, line draws and loan payments.
  • Research and assist in resolving client inquiries and issues to resolution; displays initiative to problem solve and escalate when appropriate, has the ability to work independently.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, proposals, and other administrative work as requested.
  • Proactively schedules client appointments and meetings, acts as the key liaison for organizing and managing Private Banking events.
  • Utilize effective use of the JFG CRM system as the primary tool for managing client relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years experience in the financial services industry with at least 1 year in a Relationship Banker role; work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Consumer or commercial credit experience highly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of business professionalism, initiative, and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize without sacrificing quality.
  • Proven organization and analytical skills; attention to detail and thorough follow-up skills critical.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with full MS Office Suite of products and all applicable bank operating systems.
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the Safe Act of 2008 required.
