Summit Credit Union, voted Top Workplace 4 years running, has an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as the Vice President Executive Office. In this role you will be responsible for maximizing the CEO and Senior Executives' time and effectiveness, enabling them to focus on the highest-level priorities and decision making. Works closely with the CEO providing strategic calendar management and meeting preparation; board governance and director meeting support; and assisting with senior leadership meetings and planning. Facilitates the efficient functioning of the CEO, Board, and Senior Executives with a high level of urgency, service, confidentiality, and discretion.

Expected outcomes include:

  • CEO and executives are informed and prepared to meet short and long-term challenges.
  • Needs for information, logistics, and follow-up are anticipated and proactively addressed through timely and frequent verbal or written briefings.
  • Plans are made months and even a year ahead with agendas, calendars, and meetings coordinated and organized to keep things moving.
  • The status of tasks, initiatives, projects, and deliverables are up to date and prompts for needed discussions and actions are clearly communicated.
  • Open issues are followed through to resolution with timely updates and outcomes clearly conveyed to all stakeholders.
  • Members feel welcomed and cared for in their interactions with executives. Member issues are addressed with urgency and professionalism.
  • Board needs for information and regulatory requirements are met, and Directors are fully prepared for meetings.
  • Senior team meeting agendas are well thought out with supporting materials, defined outcomes, notes, and next steps identified.
  • Issues and obstacles are proactively addressed in a professional manner.
  • Sensitive information is dealt with confidentially with a high level of discretion and tact.
  • Travel plans are thoughtful, detailed, and hassle-free.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree, four-year degree preferred, in business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of combined experience in management/leadership (business, community) with board governance and support, or a role that would enable the development of comparable skills.
  • Strong, effective interpersonal skills with the ability to be assertive and directive when needed, while always remaining professional and respectful.
  • Well-developed and highly effective oral and written communication skills that project confidence, tact, and diplomacy to members and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to grasp pertinent details of an assignment and apply a high attention to detail, producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Exercise independent judgment to effectively manage complex or stressful situations.
  • Technology savvy with a high degree of comfort with various technology tools; fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and an ability to quickly master hardware and software.
