TRC is seeking an Energy Advisor/Outreach Representative for its large commercial and industrial energy efficiency program to serve the Tennessee Valley and located in the greater East Tennessee region, Knoxville/Chattanooga areas. The ideal candidate will have an existing professional experience working in the energy efficiency industry.

This position is responsible for delivering program awareness, identifying opportunities, and achieving program participation to support energy savings goals. These efforts will be executed through:

• Direct engagement with Trade Ally Contractors.
• Working with Program management on various engagement opportunities.
• Executing marketing strategies to include speaking in program webinars.
• Attending scheduled program events.
• Supporting program strategies.
• Identifying energy efficiency opportunities.
• Conducting demos and training.
• Aiding in application submissions and overall outreach efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor-s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity/knowledge of electrical energy efficiency core technology areas such as HVAC, Lighting, motors, compressed air/etc.
• Possess a valid driver-s license with clean driving record and a reliable vehicle.
• Able to travel by car daily within assigned territory.
• Resident of East Tennessee preferred. Resident of Tennessee required.

• Strong customer service skills to include highly effective communication in person, over email, and over the phone.
• Self-driven and a team player
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with program participants and market partners.
• Willingness to speak at events.
• Ability to effectively work across multiple internal functions (engineering, marketing, operations-)
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with program participants and market partners.

Organizational Skills:

• Excellent time management skills including the ability to monitor and manage efficiency project progress while seeking additional opportunities within new or repeat customers.
• Ability to learn and use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or a similar system to effectively track business development activities.
• Proficiency with computer and mobile technology devices.
• Ability read and monitor performance metrics to support program goals.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
