The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking for a second 2nd shift Mustard Operator to work at our sauces, and pickles processing facility in Holland, MI. This position requires individuals drive a forklift therefore must complete an eye exam onsite and written test to be considered for this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work outdoors as needed
  • Candidates must be available to work weekends and some holidays
  • Prior forklift experience is preferred

  • Products: Vinegar, BBQ Sauces, Relish, Pickles, Mustard
  • The Holland plant is one of the oldest plants in the company and has been operating since 1897. Although, locally known as the "pickle factory", currently pickles only make up 5% of the total production. In 2016 the factory installed grey poupon mills to allow the production of its iconic mustard.

Job Overview: Setup, operate and troubleshoot both the Yellow Mustard and Grey Poupon kitchen systems while following safety and food quality procedures; assemble ingredients and make GP/YM batches for various products set to run in Production or for bulk products. Assemble and teardown the Demoisys, change comitrol blades, assemble and teardown the yellow mustard mills and properly grease all equipment necessary to help complete PM work orders.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Operate panel for each batch
  • Verify correct recipe has been programmed on the HMI.
  • Pre-weigh spice ingredients needed according to mustard recipe.
  • Assemble and setup the kitchen and storage areas entirely.
  • Assemble and teardown the Demoisys as a whole unit.
  • Pull and changeout the comitrol blades and impellers for changeovers.
  • Set stones in YM mills and pull them out during mill teardown.
  • Operate forklift in the kitchens, seed room and around storage areas.
  • Monitor batching system for all the correct ingredient amounts.
  • Operate and load the mustard seed delivery system on 1st floor.
  • Record ingredient information on batch sheets and complete forms.
  • Take batch samples made to QA for Analytical Checks
  • Inspect magnets, filters/strainers and check for foreign materials.
  • Grease all necessary equipment for the mills and Demoisys.
  • Notify supervisor of any abnormal developments immediately.
  • Fill out and update the OSCAR boards every hour.
  • Troubleshoot any issues in the batching system or processing equipment
  • Assemble the tote fill system and coordinate mustard tank/vat usage.
