ELS is hiring for the position of Groundskeeper- Lakeland Campground in Milton, Wisconsin.

Whatyou'll do:
As a Groundskeeper, you will perform manual tasks associated with the grounds maintenance, construction, and improvement of the campground resort grounds. This includes the operation of a wide variety of lawn mowing, trimming, and the use of power equipment.
Your job will include:
  • Operating powered equipment for mowing campground resort puplic lawn areas. Waters and fertilizes lawn areas as necessary
  • Performs a variety of labor duties including, String trimming, edging, pruning, and raking
  • Operates Gator tractor for moving soil, debris, and other materials.
  • Responsible for outdoor trash removal from canisters located throughout the grounds, as well as loose trash pick-up, i.e debris in bushes, debris on lawn, playgrounds, and parking areas
  • Assists in moving furniture and equipment related to Campground operations.
  • May assist with minor service repairs to irrigation infrastructure
  • Participate as support staff on any special projects and activities.
  • Report any and all abnormalities on the Campground Resort grounds such as damage disease, insects, debris, etc.
  • Support other departments as needed and as opportunities arise.
  • ENVIRONMENT:
  • Outdoors, varied terrain, varied weather conditions.

  • Other Work Functions:
  • Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealingproperty.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with other maintenance workers, management, and staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects.
  • Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
  • Mow,weed,edge, and otherwise maintain common areas and vacant lot grounds.
  • Conduct minor irrigation systems repairs.
  • You will be required to move heavy objects and you may drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
  • Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills & experience you need:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Landscaping or property maintenance experience
  • Ability tolift, push, or pull upto 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
  • Valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to work effectively with others
