Job Description

The Bread of Life Center Director for Waupaca will oversee the operations of the BOL Assistance Center including, distribution of goods, voucher writing, fundraising and all other outreach activities to Waupaca County.

About the role:

  • Oversee the operation of the BOL Center and be fiscally responsible for the budget.
  • Oversee the Red Kettle campaign during the holidays. Promote other fundraising ideas to support the needs of the community.
  • Organize and assist with: Christmas Toy Shop, and all other service programs offered.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with the local community for public speaking engagements and fundraising opportunities.
  • Build and supervise a strong local volunteer base.
  • Coordinate interviews with clients and keep files on assistance.
  • Coordinate with Service Rep quarterly meetings of the Service Unit.
  • Recruit and retain volunteers to support The Salvation Army's mission and ministry within the service area.
  • Public presentation on behalf of The Salvation Army and it's programs in the area.
  • Coordinate relationship between Service Extension and other agencies in the community.
  • Take part in SE departmental meetings as requested, attend regular monthly meetings with the Eastern Service Rep.
  • Work with Service Rep to form a local group of volunteers able to assist in EDS requests, this includes certification.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least three years of related work experience OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications: Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clearance to drive by Salvation Army insurance.
