We have 4 primary manufacturing locations in Brodhead, Evansville, Stoughton, WI, and Waco, TX.

Job Purpose/Department Overview:

As an HR Intern you will get to work with an exciting and dynamic Human Resources department at Stoughton Trailers. Instead of focusing on one discipline of HR during your internship, you will be exposed to many different areas to provide you a well-rounded experience.

Projects:

  • Assist the MFG Hourly Recruitment team in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
  • Assist with weekly new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Assist with onsite recruiting events.
  • Assist HRIS team as we prepare for a new HRIS implementation.
  • Review, update, and organize of all job descriptions for Stoughton Trailers.
  • Review 2020 Employee Handbook and update to match with the new policy changes.
  • Review I-9 documents for compliance.
  • Work directly with site HR Business Partners to address and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Partner with Training and Development Manager in the development of training for our shop floor employees.
  • Research and identify opportunities for Stoughton Trailers to engage in community engagement activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Internship program for Senior candidates of a bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong team player
    • Ability to support projects at rapid pace in administrative and manufacturing environments.
    • Ability to effectively communicate, work and relate with people at all levels of the organization.
    • Creative thinking and collaborative approach on all fronts of the organization.
