Civil Engineering Senior CADD Technician (042402)

Our dynamic and successful Civil Design Group is seeking a full-time/part-time Senior CADD Technician. This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN office. As a Senior CADD Technician, you would be responsible for the design and/or management of roadway engineering projects for highway and municipal infrastructure projects, as well as client interaction and staff management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide CADD plan development and preparation for Civil Engineering projects primarily in the areas of DOT and County highways, local roads, and related public works infrastructure projects.
• Additional responsibilities would include elements of civil design:
  • Assisting staff in the development of CADD based calculations, analysis and presentation materials. Assisting in geometric design of highways and roadways. Interaction with clients as necessary for business development and project completion. Development of CADD system standards, procedures and updates.
  • Provide CADD training assistance to staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a two-year civil technology degree.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in positions of increasing responsibility as a CADD technician or Senior CADD technician.
• Experience with AutoCADD and MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and produce civil engineering drawings in CADD.
• Experience in developing utilities to improve the functionality and efficiency of CADD users.
