WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating ERICO product demand with sophisticated end-users/specifiers including identifying and developing new customers. This position will provide industry and brand expertise and education to convince, nurture, and convert targeted end users.

  • Drive ERICO sales growth and expansion in the ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, WI, IA, MO, and IL markets through a technical value sales approach with end-users, design institutes/consulting companies and other specifying engineers, with emphasis on technical advantages and labor savings of new products and services.

  • Build product demand by identifying and meeting with engineers & specifiers, end-users, contractors, installers, and project owners to get our ERICO products & solutions specified.

  • Promote the ERICO brand effectively in demonstrating our value propositions and highlighting product benefits for each application & market segment while responding to questions of end users, product specifiers, and channel partners.

  • Establish relationships with key customers and market drivers to influence sales of Brand products & services directly and through channel partners.

  • Partner closely with the distribution sales team and key accounts sales team to determine penetration strategies and coordinate relationships between targeted end users, channel partners, and nVent.

  • Lead Opportunity Funnel on Salesforce.com by identifying and reporting new opportunities, by converting Marketing Qualified Leads.

  • Regularly conduct commercial and technical training for end users, agents, distributors, and other key partners.

  • Act as the voice of customer link between the field and support functions; collaborate with various business functions to assure direction on products, processes, and strategies.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or applicable experience in technical outside sales.

  • Preferably 5+ years in outside sales or business development selling into an electrical, commercial, or industrial distribution market.

  • Experience working with end-user customers on projects with the ability to navigate/walk an active construction site.

  • Application engineering and product application experience are a plus.

  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com.

  • Ability to work 100% remotely from a home office and travel in the sales region 40-70% of the week on average. A valid driver's license is required.
