Overview

Adding to our HR team due to company growth!

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources located in our corporate office, the Human Resource Generalist is primarily responsible for the administration of the various HR functions of our FALL RIVER, WISCONSIN location. Responsible for maintaining systems, communicating with plant Manager, shift managers, emplolyee relations, communicating information and relaying information to all employees.

Responsibilities

    Day to day HR department functions for the Fall River location;
  • Work closely with Plant Manager and Department Manager resolving issues;
  • Handle questions and concerns from employees and assist in resolving their issues;
  • Conduct investigations and issuing appropriate employee discipline as needed;
  • Oversee employee attendance, FMLA, Work Comp issues and communicating with Managers;
  • Full cycle recruitment including posting jobs, interviewing candidates, screening resumes and applications, performing background and employment checks and making job offer;
  • Creating and updating job descriptions for all plant personnel;
  • Conduct New hire orientation; Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies and practices;
  • Handle employee benefit enrollment and questions regarding all benefit plans; Assist with annual benefit open enrollment for all employees;
  • Facilitate all aspects of employee terminations, including preparing paperwork for unemployment claims;
  • Auditing daily time & attendance approvals using Kronos for production employees; process payroll and experience with creating reports from Kronos and ADP.
  • Special projects for compliance
  • Ability to make suggestions to for improvements in all aspects of HR and employee relations;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3 plus years Generalist HR experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with recruiting; payroll concepts and benefits
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company
  • Able to make independent decisions and the ability to set priorities

Education and/or Experience

  • Advanced knowledge/skills of MS Word, Excel, and Kronos, SAP and ADP experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge/skills in report writing.
  • Payroll software experience preferred.
  • SAP or Kronos experience preferred.
