Job Title: Press Operator 1

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday from 10:30pm-6:30am

Location: Sussex, WI

General Scope of Job

The Press Operator 1 is responsible for completing projects/tasks assigned to them by the Press Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of operations of press to include how to power-up and shut down a press.

2. Reads and understands print tickets.

3. Completes press pre-run set-up checklist.

4. Knowledge of inks & mixing, color matching, toning, ink "work-off" & applications, and ink disposal.

5. Ability to produce high quality product on all jobs.

6. Ability to insert roll shaft into roll of film and secure on press.

7. Ability to remove roll shaft from roll of film and transfer to skid.

8. Inspects printed material of printed roll.

9. Cleans ink stations and printing plates.

10. Ability to at a minimum identify and properly communicate all press related problems.

11. Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent; or minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
