Expected pay for this position is $37.38 - $43.98/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides classroom and clinical/laboratory instruction for students in the nursing major including preparation of content, assignments, and evaluation of student clinical and academic progress. Interacts with health team members in cooperating clinical agencies to facilitate student learning and to promote quality-nursing care for clients. Maintains community and clinical partnerships that support educational goals. Participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the total educational program.

More Info: This is a faculty role with track lead responsibilites including program track and curriculum oversight. Hours are variable based on course and meeting schedules as well as student needs. The candidate must be actively practicing as an APP in a geriatric prinmary care role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• a Doctorate degree (DNP or PhD) and certification as an Adult Geroontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
• At least two years' experience in clinical nursing as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a baccalaureate nursing program
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensure in Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• Other skills/knowledge: Communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, peers, and cooperating clinical agencies to provide an environment conducive to student learning
