Now Hiring Data Partnerships Manager II

ICON is looking for an entrepreneurial Data Partnerships Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic data partnerships to expand our data assets and empower our data-driven products and services. You will work closely with our data team, as well as our business stakeholders, to uncover new sources of valuable data and negotiate data-sharing agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively research and connect with potential data partners, such as government agencies, industry associations, and private companies.
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial data partnerships and licensing agreements.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end processes for onboarding new data sources, including data acquisition, ingestion, and integration.
  • Collaborate with internal data engineers to ensure seamless data pipelines and data quality.
  • Continuously monitor partnership performance and identify opportunities to expand or optimize data flows.
  • Stay up-to-date on data trends, regulations, and best practices to identify new data sources and partnership models.
  • Communicate the value of our data assets and partnerships to internal and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in data acquisition, data partnerships, or data ecosystem management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resourceful and proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new data sources.
  • Familiarity with data management technologies and processes.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with government, non-profit, or regulated data sources.
  • Background in entrepreneurship or business development.
  • Technical understanding of data infrastructure and APIs.
