Summary:

Goldbelt Frontier (GBF) / Black Bear Technology Solutions (BBTS) is seeking a qualified Instructor to join our team of experienced professionals supporting the USCENTCOM Chief of Staff's (CoS) Staff Orientation Course. The primary focus of this position is to provide incoming CENTCOM Directorate and Special Staff personnel with an overview of USCENTCOM Headquarters as well as Operational and Innovation staff procedures and training on the command Tasker Management Tool (TMT). You will assist with other training requirements as necessary for effective staff function as directed and approved by the Chief of Staff, USCENTCOM. This position is a critical piece of the Commander's initial introduction to United States Central Command and the Command Priorities. The position is located at the USCENTCOM Headquarters, MacDill AFB, FL.

The most qualified applicant will become part of the Goldbelt team supporting the USCENTCOM mission. This position falls under the purview of the Secretary of the Joint Staff (SJS) and will assist in the design, development and facilitation of the Course which provides orientation and instruction for all incoming personnel (military, civilian and contractors).

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Assist in planning, facilitating, coordinating, and executing the USCENTCOM Staff Orientation 3-Day Course (SOC).
  • Assist in new user training on the Command Tasker Management Tool (TMT) and set-up new user accounts.
  • Provide Command oversight and support to the Chief of Staff's Orientation Course.
  • Develop, coordinate and communicate Staff Orientation Course schedule with Command Group and SOC Briefers to ensure support and execution of the course.
  • Prepare and present both unclassified and classified briefings.
  • Maintain and update the Newcomer Information SharePoint portal.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly SOC reporting to the SJS office and Chief of Staff.
  • Facilitate the NIPR SOC Survey and provide weekly reporting to the Chief of Staff
  • Maintain attendance and class demographics for the Command.
  • Assist in implementing the USCENTCOM Commander's priorities of People, Partnership and Innovation (PPI).
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must have a proactive approach to daily duties and the ability to mitigate scheduling issues.
  • Have experience briefing a strategic command staff organization.
  • Have a broad understanding of a Combatant Command and operating in a joint environment.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication and briefing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Power Point.
  • Ability to independently track and guide concurrent tasks and activities.
  • Possess a confident, outgoing, and positive personality.
  • Ability to facilitate learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels throughout USCENTCOM.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of task-related experience OR be retired military with COCOM related experience.
  • Have experience with Tasker Management Tool (TMT).
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of task-related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Combatant Command staffs and CENTCOM staff processes and procedures.
  • Experienced briefer.
  • Experience in a Joint or Unified Command Staff.
  • Demonstrated exceptional staff skills including communication, coordination, teamwork, interoperability, adaptability and flexibility.
  • Proven ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and understandable written documents and presentations that are easily digestible.

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00-106,000.00 annually.
