Overview

The Education Specialist supports educational activities and programs for health professionals, patients and families in collaboration with faculty, staff and administrators from within and outside Nationwide Children's Hospital. Provides audit, technology support and oversight of data entry and financial accounting tasks related to educational activities and or programs.

Schedule: FT, Benefits Eligible, M-F 8:00am-4:30pm

Location: Onsite at Central Campus (700 Childrens Dr.)

Responsibilities
    Participates in the coordination and evaluation of educational activities and programs.
  • Assists in budget updates, document tracking, preparation of materials and other administrative tasks. Assists with implementing processes to support enterprise effectiveness and improved efficiency. Coordinates marketing of programs.
  • Assists in program registration process.
  • Manages database content and data tracking software; audits and ensures accuracy of all content.
  • Prepares thorough and accurate income/expense reports related to annual submission of educational activity and or program list to accrediting body.
  • Uses effective problem solving to resolve any identified issues or concerns.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college graduate preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Strong command of the English language, grammar and spelling.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting Constantly (67-100%)
  • Editing on a computer Constantly (67-100%)
  • Talking on phone/in person Frequently (34-66%)
  • Standing/walking Occasionally (0-33%)
