Description

**This is a full time day shift position at 40 hours a week located at Lake Forest Hospital. **

The Resource Coordinator CTreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the selection of new team members.
  • Conducts orientation and training of new and existing staff.
  • Monitors the orientation of staff and identifies further instructional needs.
  • Schedules staff for adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department; maintains attendance records.
  • Prioritizes, assigns and reviews work; provides feedback to director regarding staff performance.
  • Assists the director in establishing and evaluating performance expectations for staff.
  • Serves as a resource to staff.
  • Ensures staffing levels which meet department guidelines; ensures optimal department coverage and minimal overtime.
  • Monitors utilization of supplies and equipment for optimal efficiency and cost containment; orders and maintains supplies used in the department.
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs; assists with recommendations regarding the acquisition of new equipment.
  • Supports quality assurance programs for the department.
  • Enforces policies and procedures; assists in updating and developing procedure manuals and protocols for CT.
  • Coordinates patient flow through department; resolves scheduling issues.
  • Monitors and maintains the quality of films and services produced in CT.
  • Monitors charges and tracks financial performance in CT.
  • Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
  • Administers contrast media orally or intravenously; gathers pertinent information from patient, patient's chart and radiology folder to determine risk factors for IV contrast.
  • Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
  • Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort and level of sedation.
  • Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
  • Evaluates computed tomography images and computer generated information for technical quality.
  • Calibrates the CT and laser.

Qualifications

Required:

  • More than three up to five years of related work experience required, demonstrating a broad knowledge of the job responsibilities and methods.
  • 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.
  • ARRT, IEMA
