Primary responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently pick, pack, troubleshoot, and process shipments to meet deadlines.

  • Operate equipment for packaging and material movement with precision.

  • Conduct quality checks on materials and shipping documents, ensuring accuracy through visual inspection.

  • Perform routine tasks using various tools, equipment, and computer systems.

  • Prioritize shipments based on delivery urgency and deadlines.

  • Maintain meticulous records and adhere to record retention policies.

  • Supervise and replenish supplies as necessary, ensuring flawless workflow.

  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work and dock areas.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shipping objectives through effective collaboration.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing ideas.

  • Lead packaging inventory to prevent stock shortages.

  • Provided timely resolution to shipping issues and delivered outstanding customer service.

  • Adhere to specified standard times and complete assignments promptly.

  • Follow documented procedures, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines, including daily housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or logistics preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending written procedures and instructions.

  • Basic math skills including arithmetic, ratios, and weights & measures.

  • Proven ability to make timely decisions and maintain accurate records.

  • Attention to detail with a keen eye for spotting inaccuracies.

  • Highly motivated teammate with superior time management skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing job assignments.

  • Willingness to take ownership of problem resolution.

  • Proficient in computer usage, including keyboarding, Windows environment, and basic software applications.

  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Forklift certification.

  • Knowledge of 49 CFR and IATA regulations.
